Mountain Community Yoga (MCY) has been created to make yoga, meditation, fitness, wellness, and mind-body practices affordable and accessible to everyone in our mountain towns.

The reach of MCY will go well beyond the traditional benefits of mind-body practices and exercise. The goal is to create a safe place to focus on healthy living in mind, body, and heart. In forming this CommUnity, we want to foster a deeper appreciation and awareness of who we are as a whole and how together, we can succeed and thrive.

The experience and talent of our teachers allows us to offer programs that address the challenging issues of our lives and, at the same time, create a place of quiet and reflection. Our intention is to assist all people in the development of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being: a truly priceless existence.

Evan Leontis

Evan first began practicing yoga while in music school as a way to manage the stresses of performing. Her love and appreciation for yoga grew over the next ten years and eventually led her to do a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with YogaWorks in Bali with the goal of deepening her own practice and learning the skills needed to share the wonderful world of yoga with others. During this vinyasa yoga-based training she studied anatomy, asana, pranayama, yoga philosophy, restorative  yoga and Thai massage. She has developed Yoga For Musicians workshops that she has presented at a number of music school and festivals. This practice has been a source of strength, fun, exploration, comfort, and healing for her on her journey as a musician and teacher and she loves sharing it with others.

Evan is also a classical singer and holds a Doctoral Degree in Voice. She has taught at a number of music schools and universities across the country. She recently relocated to Vermont and is in love with the Green Mountains! In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling, and hiking with her husband and dog.

Caitlin Moore 4_edited_edited.jpg
Caitlin Moore

Caitlin was originally drawn to yoga 8 years ago to maintain flexibility, master cool balance poses, and manage her stress. Growing up as a competitive dancer for 12 years, her body and mind were trained in a very strict manner. Yoga has now helped to bring fluidity into those rigid areas, and soften her disposition. After diving deeper into her personal practice, she found out that yoga was even more than that; she found herself doing shadow-acknowledgement and healing from conditioning in her early life. She has a passion for inspiring others to grow as individuals, and to help them find balance between the mind, body, & spirit through their yogic journeys. Caitlin believes in the power of breath-work, mindful movement, & meditation as a way to ground ourselves from the busyness of our day to day lives.  She also received her Reiki 1 certification in 2020, to integrate another alternate healing therapy into her personal life, and share that energy healing with others.  With her Iyengar-focused yoga teacher training, she specializes in modifications and adapts each class so that they are accessible for every body- she believes yoga is truly a place for ALL!!

Arielle loves to share her experiences and knowledge with yoga practitioners and to help students bring their practices to the next level. She focuses on safety and is very careful with students, advising them to use necessary props and reminding them never to take poses too far. Arielle has always loved teaching many different subjects; she started her career teaching Hebrew language and has recently been ordained as a Rabbi.

In her spare time, Arielle enjoys crafty projects, such as making jewelry and body scrubs! Arielle lives with her husband, Alejandro, her 3-year-old daughter, Samara, and her 9-month-old baby, Amitai in Londonderry, Vermont.
